Unveiling the Thrills of Bird Hunting and Pigeon Hunting

Our bird hunting area situated approximately 2 – 2 1/2 hours’ drive from Enkulu Game Lodge in South Africa, offers an exciting bird hunting experience. Guests can embark on a drive from Enkulu Safari Lodge either in the evening or early morning, ensuring they are well-prepared for the hunt at sunrise. The concluding day of the hunting expedition involves a return drive to Enkulu Safari Lodge upon completion of the hunt.

On our finest days afield, 3-4 hunters unleash 2000-4000 shots, weaving a symphony of marksmanship. Each shot is a stroke, painting vivid memories in the tapestry of our shared hunting adventures.

In addition to traditional bird hunting, Enkulu Safari provides the unique opportunity to arrange pure pigeon hunting. This can coincide with the regular bird hunt or be specifically scheduled for March, April, and May, which are optimal months due to the abundance of birds following the recent corn and sunflower harvest.

Enkulu Safari's Exclusive Bird Hunting Itinerary

The bird hunting itinerary typically commences with duck hunting in the morning, followed by the pursuit of Francolin, guinea fowl, or other pigeon varieties. The day concludes with either duck and goose hunting or pigeon hunting in the evening. The meticulous preparation of the hunt ensures that guests have a rewarding and memorable bird hunting experience. While Enkulu Safari offers the option to rent weapons, guests are recommended to bring their own to ensure a comfortable fit.

Accommodations for the hunt are provided in a guest house located within the hunting area. Guests spend the night in preparation for the upcoming hunt, with morning meals served at the guest house. Lunch is provided in the field if the hunt takes guests far from the guest house, and dinner is served upon the return from the day’s hunting activities.
